San Diego Airport Terminal 1
San Diego Airport Terminal 1 mainly serves domestic flights.
It is the eastern terminal of the Airport and is located between Terminal 2 and the Airport Authority Administrative Offices.
Currently at Terminal 1 there are ongoing works taking place in order to build the New Terminal 1. Parking there is no longer accessible. Works are planned to finish in 2035.
Terminal 1 is operative but we recommend to check always prior to your flight if there is any change in Terminal 1 construction works.
Levels
It has the following levels:
Ground floor
Passengers can find here the arrivals area and access to transportation. The check-in and the areas divided into two parts: West Area, with gates 11 to 18 and East Area with gates 1 to 10.
Mezzanine
Lounges are located here. being the lounges on the upper floor. It is distributed in two parts: West Area, with gates 11 to 18, and the East Area with gates 1 to 10.
Each of that areas have different security checkpoints to access to gates.
TRANSFER BETWEEN TERMINALS
At SAN Airport there are free shuttles connecting the parking areas, Terminal 1, Terminal 2 and the Car Rental Center. It runs 24/7.
Both terminals are also connected by a walkway.
